My name is Scott Buendia and I’ve been around in internet marketing since 2004. I started out as a personal trainer who couldn’t sell anything in the big corporate gyms because I didn’t like what it took. I was not going to compromise my morals and I wouldn’t force anyone to buy (using unscrupulous techniques), and I wouldn’t lie to their face. So I got in big trouble, because I refused to be that way.
What did happen is that I discovered direct marketing I learned how to pre qualify and disqualify leads (the tire kickers) and only deal with the hot prospects using a replicatable system (that’s what you want right? Systems that you can drop into any side of your business and have it generate cash in your pocket with little to no work, like teenagers at McDonalds. An almost fool proof system).
This lead me into field of selling through copy and what better place to sell through copy than the internet. Over the next 4 years, I took bumps and bruises and learned what it took to make money online despite crooked marketing gurus (believe me, I hired them to help me in my business and they only took my money and didn’t give me value that I could use).
The good news is that you don’t have to do that! I floundered around internet marketing until I discovered the truth. That all marketing needs to be tracked, tested, and retested to make sure that the market is getting the message they want to hear so that they will buy instead of just look. I used sophisticated tracking and testing methods like Taguchi (very hard to understand until you implement it) to develop the best sales message possible. I also capture leads through Aweber and continue selling them (using Eric Ruth’s, of NetProfit Explosion, saying “they buy, or you market to them till they die”).
